MOQ and sampling, with the real numbers
• MOQ is counted per design, per colourway, per size — three colourways of one character is three runs, not one.
• Export orders start at 500 pieces per design; 300 is possible for simpler designs, confirmed per artwork.
• Cotton dolls are the exception: 100 pieces per design.
• Sampling takes 10–15 working days, includes 3 revision rounds and 1 final prototype, and the sample fee can be credited against a bulk order of 500 pieces of one design.
Why MOQ is per design, not per order
Fabric is cut per design, embroidery files are made per design, and a production line is set up per design. Splitting 500 pieces across five characters does not give the factory one run of 500 — it gives five runs of 100, each carrying the full setup. That is why every serious factory quotes the minimum the same way, and why a factory that happily splits quantities is usually splitting something else as well.
Sampling — what you pay, what you get
Sample fees are assessed from your artwork — most start from ¥500 for domestic orders, and overseas sampling is quoted per design once we see it. The fee covers pattern-making and the prototype itself: up to 3 rounds of revisions, then 1 final prototype that becomes the reference for bulk production. Overseas sample freight is prepaid by the buyer. When a single design goes to a bulk order of 500 pieces, the sample fee is credited against that order.
Money and timing, in one place
• Bulk timing: about 30–60 days for standard orders; very large orders (50,000 pieces and up) run 45–60 days.
• Export payment: 50% deposit, balance settled before shipment; prices are EXW and exclude tax.
• Freight is the buyer's; if you have no forwarder, we can introduce one we work with.
Questions buyers ask us
• Can I order 300 pieces of a plush design? Often yes for simpler designs — send the artwork and we will confirm, rather than promise in the abstract.
• Why did another factory quote me 100 pieces for any plush? Ask what the 100 covers. For cotton dolls, 100 is genuine; for complex plush it usually means a stock design with your label, not your design made from scratch.
• Does the sample fee come back? It is credited when one design reaches a 500-piece bulk order, as set out above.
