Before requesting a shipping quote for a bulk plush toy order, prepare the quantity of cartons, each carton type's outside dimensions and gross weight, and the delivery destination. Mark whether these figures are estimates or measurements from packed cartons. Toy height and total piece count alone do not describe the shipment.
This checklist is for brands and IP owners comparing freight options for a production order. Its purpose is to make the packing assumptions visible before a price comparison, not to predict a freight rate.
Identify the product and packaging versions used for the estimate. State whether each plush is loose within an agreed bulk pack, individually bagged, or placed in a retail box. Include any separately packed accessories or packaging materials. If gift boxes will ship flat for assembly later, say who will assemble them and keep their carton data separate.
Ask for a trial pack using the intended product and packaging when practical. If compression is proposed, agree how the packed sample will be unpacked and reviewed for shape and presentation before accepting that method. Do not treat a smaller carton as an approved packing solution until the product condition is acceptable.
Give each packing arrangement a row: product code, units per carton, number of cartons, outside length × width × height, and gross weight per packed carton. State the measurement units. Gross weight includes the contents and packaging; do not substitute the weight of the plush alone.
List partially filled cartons separately if their contents, dimensions or weight differ. For mixed-character cartons, record the quantity of each character inside. Check that units per carton multiplied by carton count, plus any separately listed partial cartons, matches the order quantity for every design.
Measure the sealed carton at its outermost points, including bulges. DHL's volumetric-weight guidance explains that package dimensions can affect chargeable weight alongside actual weight. Ask the carrier or forwarder which calculation and rounding rules apply to the quoted service; do not apply one divisor to every transport option.
For a rectangular carton measured in centimetres, volume in cubic metres is length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000. Calculate each carton type separately, multiply by its carton count, and add the results.
Illustrative example only: 240 plush toys packed 20 per carton would require 12 cartons. If each sealed carton measures 60 × 40 × 30 cm, one carton is 0.072 m³ and the total is 0.864 m³. These are invented calculation inputs, not a Guaila Toys packing standard, order minimum or quotation. A different carton size or an additional accessory carton changes the total.
If pallets are required, provide the loaded pallet dimensions and gross weights as well. The carton-only total does not describe the complete palletised load. Have the forwarder confirm the measurement basis before comparing prices.
Use the same packing version, collection location, delivery address and postal code, goods-ready date and requested arrival date. Ask each provider to identify its service scope, included charges, exclusions and quote validity. Keep an early estimate labelled as provisional; update it when trial packing or final measurements change.

Packing photos and unresolved assumptions:Send your plush design, intended size, quantity per design, packaging preference and destination to info@guailatoys.com. Identify which packing details are still undecided. These inputs provide a starting point for discussing the product and packing requirements; packing feasibility, charges and timing need confirmation for your specific project.
